Our Hydro-Shield technology incorporates advanced waterproofing materials and processes to help keep feet dry. We start with waterproof leathers that are sealed during the tanning process, and then we seam-seal the footwear for additional protection. Partially gusseted tongues and zippers treated with durable water-resistant coatings further deter water entry. In products that have areas of textile, the footwear is only waterproof up to the point where leather is used.

Your heel should fit snug with no slipping. The midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight. You should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes. Our shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.

People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.

Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year. Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.

Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

While the incremental enlargement/reductions between the sizes and widths are industry standards – not every manufacturer starts with the same measurement for their model size.

Rockport and Cobb Hill use the same Brannock Device measurement along with several taped forefoot volume measurements as a starting point for both men’s and women’s shoes.

Width sizing
It's been a terrific low leather boot for years But should never have eliminated width sizing There are a lot of us who came to Rockport and New Balance because they had footwear that fit our feet Isn't that the most important criterion?
Bring them Back!
What's the hold up? I've bought 4 pair of Elkhart in brown over the past 5 years and for some reason they've been unavailable. They are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn, being in them from roughly 6 a.m to as late as 9 pm. Bring Them Back!

Really like these boots. First pair of Rockports I�ve owned. Very light, comfortable for all day wear on cement (I�m a maintenance tech), and virtually no break-in time. Comfortable right out of the box. Now my complaint, these boots were listed at $15
