Your heel should fit snug with no slipping. The midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight. You should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes. Our shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.

People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.

Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year. Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.

Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

While the incremental enlargement/reductions between the sizes and widths are industry standards – not every manufacturer starts with the same measurement for their model size.

Rockport and Cobb Hill use the same Brannock Device measurement along with several taped forefoot volume measurements as a starting point for both men’s and women’s shoes.

I bought these shoes because the pair I have like them are worn out. My feet are narrow to slim and it is difficult to find shoes that fit, but because these have a strap, they work. I have not worn them the new ones yet, but I assume they are like the pair I already have which work fine.

I happened upon a used pair of the Petra Mary Janes a few years ago, been wearing them ever since. They are sooooooo comfortable. They are red, I decided a needed a black pair of casual shoes and so I ordered myself a brand new pair and love them.

I bought these shoes to replace a pair of Earth Shoes Mary Janes I have worn for years. The Rockports do not have as much arch support, are stiffer, and are generally less comfortable. The heels are also too wide for me, even though I got a narrow size. For the Rockport price I am a bit disappointed.

This is my second pair of these. The first pair has been so good I wanted the second pair. Comfortable and long-lasting.

Exactly what I hoped for from the first wearing. I saw these shoes being worn by a friend and ordered them via Cobb Hill. Wore them on a weekend trip with a lot of walking--no rubs or blisters. Beautiful leather with pleasing stitching and detail.
Cute and comfortable on challenging feet
I've bought two pairs of Cobb Hill Petra Mary Janes in the last few years, now looking for another pair. I have long, wide feet, complicated by huge joints in my left big toe due to an injury, and my feet tend to swell. And I need a little arch support. P
Comfortable
This is my all the time shoe. Very comfortable and ajustable when my feet swell and I can loosen to give relief.
